The following list of vintages and quality applies to vintage port but can also serve as a guideline for LBV (Late Bottled Vintage). Generally, if it's a good vintage year for port, the likelihood that other port types from the same year are also of high quality increases significantly. I have summarized the respective vintages at the beginning of the section to allow for easier reference to the desired quality.
