This stunning 50 White offers a fine mélange of torrefaction to begin with and is further supported by a cast of pecan, mahogany, dried date and toffee nuances. Simply an incredible mix of aromatics! Medium-bodied, rich and sumptuously textured, with prominent acidity that keeps the whopping 182 g/l of RS, seemingly in check and harmonious. It is a real feat, as it delivers impeccable balance throughout. The deeply layered mid-palate is filled with finesse, and is nothing short of profound, and the same can be said for the super long aftertaste. This Enólogo is one of the top three 50 Whites I have encountered to date and is in the same rarified territory along with versions by Kopke and DR Port. That’s saying a mouthful. Pure opulence and sophistication in every sip of this excellent Colheita, from start to finish. I’ve had this Port several times now and from the aromas, to the stellar mouth presence, and flavors, you realize you are tasting an extraordinary White Port!
