Pedra Alta
A new winery we have been intrigued by and visited several times.
"Quinta da Pedra Alta (High Stone) is a vineyard located in Soutelinho Favaios, near Alijó, in the Cima Corgo subregion of the Douro Valley, Portugal."
Quinta da Pedra Alta is the only vineyard in the Douro with three granite markers (Marcos Pombalinos) on its estate. These were assigned to the best land during the demarcation of the Port wine region in 1761.
Their winemakers, Matt and João, share the same vision when it comes to crafting their wines, striving to capture the pure essence of what the land has to offer…
