Porto Manhattan
This drink is inspired by the well-known Bar Drake Manhattan, named after a hotel in San Francisco. The drink originally resembled a Suburban or Old Fashioned, but here we've added a splash of port wine to elevate it.
A new way to enjoy port wine is by using it in cocktails, and almost only your imagination sets the limit. This is just one of many suggestions on how to make use of port wine in a cocktail.
Ingredients:
- 60 ml Bourbon Whiskey
- 30 ml Tawny Port
- 15 ml Maple syrup
- 1 dash of Bitters
- Ice cubes
- Lime for garnish
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice.
- Shake thoroughly until it feels cold to the touch.
- Pour the drink into a cocktail glass or a tumbler.
- Garnish with lime slices or a cocktail cherry.
