Port-Tonic
Most people probably mix their tonic with gin – but isn’t it time to try something new? Port wine is the perfect choice for a heavier drink that complements the fresh tonic in the best way.
In Portugal, drinks with port wine have been made for a long time! There’s no doubt that this comes from a love of port wine, but also the realization that port wine can be heavy and sweet – especially in the summer heat.

Ingredients:
1 part port wine (white port, rosé port, or tawny) 1 part tonic water Ice cubes
Instructions:
- Choose your favorite port wine, whether it's white, rosé, or tawny
- Mix equal parts of port wine and tonic water
- Add a few ice cubes to make the drink cool and refreshing
If you like, you can top the drink with a fresh slice of lemon. 1, 2, 3 – and you’re ready for summer!
